Not sure if anyone’s cooked with this before, but…
all hail Buddha’s Hand Citron!
This amazing fruit has the most interesting smell ever; very floral, fresh, and less piquant than other citrus. if you have ever cooked with this, do shoot me a comment!
In the meantime, it’s GREAT grated into apple pies and tarts!
Aaah, I thought you might have abandoned your blog! Glad to see you’re still around
I’ve never cooked with this… to be honest I always just thought it was a deformed lemon (lol)
Does it have the same juicy inside as lemon? I’m guessing it would make a great marmelade or lemon curd!
I saw this at my local market and asked how it was used. Like you said, it is apparently only used as a garnish or zest. What a great centerpiece though! And I am sure it is quite fragrant.
